How tall the trees, how long the day, when we were four. When Summer was not a season, but a lifetime. When every field of green was a possible playground. We skipped rocks in hopes of meeting the stream, baring our toes, baring our smiles and caring not about the time

How small our hands, how large our eyes, when we were four. When rain fell down and soaked our hair, but we didn’t care as it dropped like freckles unto our cheeks. We followed butterflies into blossoms, blossoms into bees, never weary of their sting; always content, to follow them from pretty to pretty.

How sweet the smells, how tart the taste, when we were four. When dolls were friends and friends were true. We held tea parties and toasted lollipops to the moon. How simple life, how lasting love, how free the heart ...

With children, I can find my inner child, as they teach me to see things with much less complexity. I so enjoy the freedom they allow me with my thoughts and my camera.

With adults, I try my best to pass on what the children teach me....
